WHAT IS REDUN?
REDUN is a New Zealand upcycling brand giving unwanted and pre-loved textiles another life.
We reclaim existing materials and remake them into clothing, accessories and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Reclaimed. Remade. REDUN.
WHAT ARE REDUN PIECES MADE FROM?
We work primarily with reclaimed and pre-existing textiles, including donated materials, second-hand finds and fabrics that might otherwise go unused.
What we make depends on what we find — and that's part of the fun.
ARE THE TEXTILES CLEANED BEFORE YOU USE THEM?
Absolutely.
Reclaimed textiles are cleaned and inspected before they're transformed into REDUN pieces.
ARE ALL REDUN PIECES SECOND-HAND?
The materials may have had a previous life, but the REDUN piece you receive has been newly created from them.
Think less second-hand clothing and more old material, completely new piece.
WHY DOES MY ITEM LOOK SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT?
Because reclaimed textiles aren't perfectly uniform — and we don't want them to be.
You may notice variations in colour, texture, pattern, fading or small signs of the material's previous life.
We embrace these characteristics as part of what makes each REDUN piece unique. Any significant imperfections that affect a particular item will be shown or described in its product listing.
ARE REDUN PIECES ONE-OF-A-KIND?
Many are.
We're limited by the textiles we reclaim, so some pieces may be completely one-of-a-kind while others may be produced in a very small number.
Once a particular textile is gone, we may never find it again.
So if you love something, don't assume there'll be another one. 👀
WHERE ARE REDUN PIECES MADE?
REDUN pieces are handmade in Auckland, New Zealand.
HOW DO I CHOOSE MY SIZE?
Check the sizing information provided on each product page before ordering.
Because our pieces are handmade and different reclaimed materials can behave differently, there may be small variations between individual garments.
If you're between sizes or aren't sure which one to choose, contact us at Contact@redun.nz and we'll help.
HOW SHOULD I WASH MY REDUN PIECE?
Always check the care label on your individual REDUN piece first.
Because we work with different reclaimed textiles, care requirements can vary.
Generally, we recommend treating your REDUN pieces kindly — gentle washing and avoiding unnecessary high heat will help keep them looking good for longer.
After all, they've already had one life. We're aiming for a very long second one.
DO YOU ACCEPT TEXTILE DONATIONS?
Yes!
We're always interested in textiles that could be given another life.
If you have unwanted textiles you think could be perfect for REDUN, email us at Contact@redun.nz.
We can arrange collection for suitable textile donations within Auckland.
Please keep in mind that we can't guarantee we'll be able to use every textile we're offered.
WHAT TEXTILES ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Our needs change depending on what we're currently creating, but we're particularly interested in interesting textiles with plenty of usable life left in them.
Think colour, texture, prints and materials that deserve another chance.

WILL I GET MY DONATED TEXTILES BACK?
No.
Once you've donated textiles to REDUN and we've accepted them, they may be cut, combined, altered and completely transformed into something new.
Please only donate something you're happy to permanently part with.
CAN I SEE WHAT MY OLD TEXTILES BECOME?
We love sharing the REDUN process.

DO YOU SHIP THROUGHOUT NEW ZEALAND?
Yes. REDUN currently ships throughout New Zealand.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Not just yet.
REDUN currently ships within New Zealand while we're getting started, but we'd love to take REDUN further afield in the future.
HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO ARRIVE?
We aim to process orders within 1–3 business days.
Once dispatched, estimated delivery is generally:
Auckland: 1–2 business days
Rest of New Zealand: 2–5 business days
Rural: Please allow an additional 1–3 business days.
These are estimates and courier delays can occasionally occur.
CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE SOMETHING?
Yes, subject to our returns conditions.
For change-of-mind returns or exchanges, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.
Items must be unworn, unused, in their original condition and have their original REDUN tags attached.

WHAT IF MY ITEM IS FAULTY?
Contact us at Contact@redun.nz with your order number and photos of the issue and we'll get it sorted.
Your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 continue to apply.
Keep in mind that natural variations and characteristics of reclaimed textiles aren't necessarily faults — they're part of working with materials that have already lived a little.
CAN I SHOP REDUN IN PERSON?
Yes!
REDUN will be popping up at selected markets and events around Auckland.

WILL SOLD-OUT ITEMS COME BACK?
Sometimes — but often they can't.
Because REDUN works with reclaimed textiles, we can't simply order another roll of the same material.
If we have enough material, we may make another piece. Otherwise, once it's gone, it's REDUN and done.
